"Now What"

I have an list of 59 things. Out of the 59 I have accomplished two. Those were number 5, meet someone famous and number 6, swim with dolphins. Who wouldn't want to meet someone famous. The reason I got to meet Hunter Hayes was because me and my sister purchased V.I.P packages for a concert he was opening. It was a really cool experience. For number 6, to swim with dolphins I accomplished this in march of this year when I went to Mexico with my best friend. Swimming with dolphins was always something I've wanted to do since I was a little kid. I just thought it was the coolest thing ever, it really was. For tackling the next 57 that might be a little harder than going down the street and trying sushi. A lot of mine were travelling. When I'm older I plan on travelling a lot. So that way I hope I can go to all of the places on my list. Some of my things might be a little bit unrealistic. I also think that some of the things I have on my list for example number 8 to bungee jump. I always think it would be so fun. But I could also see myself chickening out right before. So I'm hoping that I'm going to be able to accomplish all of the things I would like to. So now I'm just going to have to live my life and see what experiences I will be able to check off my list!

My Buried Life

Authors Note:

I've never really thought of ever doing a bucket list before. But now after thinking about what I actually want to do or accomplish before I die it has actually motivated me to try and accomplish many of those things. I think this is a very good project. I'm glad I have the chance to actually do this project and brainstorm what I really do want to do before I die. I'm glad I am doing this project at such a young age. That way I still have the rest of my life to try and accomplish these things. By writing these now I'm hoping I will still have this project to look back on later in life and see how many things I actually have accomplished. It would be such an amazing feeling to have accomplished everything on my bucket list. This project also made me realize that a lot of my things on my bucket list were things that I could just go out and do. Others involve skill. But some things on my list is something that would really effect me personally. And I think it would really change my life. For example #47. If I saw someone survive cancer I don't think I would be the same person. I mean really, I think it would change my life, I think it would change anyone's life if they witnessed such an amazing survival. That's why I think this project was such a cool idea. I think it really pushes people to find themselves.

Weekly Reading Response #5

Book: Tweak
Author: Nic Sheff
Pages read: 90-100

In my book I'm finding myself predicting pretty much everything. And noticing they were all accurate, since he is a recovering addict, all the things that I'm reading I've read before in other books because I've read books about drugs before. And a lot of the same things happen in both. I'm glad to hear he wrote another book after Tweak. I think I might start reading that one after. I would also like to read the one his dad wrote. I think it would be interesting I read that coming from his perspective, since it was written around the same time as tweak. I think it would be really interesting to read about that because you always see people writing books about being an addict and relapsing and the struggle of the process. But you never her about someone in their family writing about the struggles. I'm starting to look into the so what a little more. I'm trying to figure out why the main purpose of the book is. I've came to the conclusion that its about how in life everyone makes mistakes, some people more than others. But despite that , in the end everything happens for a reason. Ad everything has a purpose. Right now on my book that's what I'm thinking the so what is. I think it might change the more I read into it. I think Nic's dads book will differ alot from Nic's since its from his perspective. And it's also two perspectives looking down on the same situation. I think the dads will be more about how he struggles and how the whole family as a whole struggles. We're as tweak is about him doing drugs ad him relapsing and his own personal struggles.

Newspaper Blackout Poetry

This is my newspaper blackout poetry. I took pages from the book I am currently reading , Tweak. I photocopied certain pages and found little poems between them and than sharpied out he rest of the words. The reason I chose to pick pages from my book is because I wanted it to go with the theme depression, being confused and feeling unwanted. I thought my book fit that theme perfectly.

Blogging Fieldtrip

Comment#1:

The first comment I posted was on Megan's blog. I like the personal additions she added. I feel by looking at her blog you can get a sense of who she is you can tell alot of things by looking on her blog. I also really liked her 6 word memoirs I thought they were very appealing and you can also get a sense of who she is by reading those also.

Comment#2:

The second comment I have is for Taylor's blog. I thought her blog was very unique. She has alot of personal additions that were a very good idea and some that I never would have even thought of. I really like how she picked to have a "Quote of the Week" and "Album of the Week". You can tell that she keeps up with her blog and updates it regularly. I also really liked the post about light painting, I thought that was super cool. I also think her blog was very creative.
